About this tool
Reduce file sizes by up to 90% — free online compressor for images, video and audio.
Large files slow down websites, fill up storage, and take forever to share. FlipFileZone's free compressor uses industry-standard codecs to reduce file sizes dramatically while keeping the output looking and sounding great. No software to install — just upload, compress, and download.

See the exact original vs compressed file size so you know exactly how much space you saved.
Adjustable quality
The quality slider lets you fine-tune the trade-off between file size and visual fidelity.
Fast server-side encoding
Files are compressed using ffmpeg and Pillow on dedicated servers — much faster than client-side tools.

Compressed files are returned clean — no FlipFileZone branding added.
Frequently asked questions
How much can I reduce a PNG file?
PNG files often compress 40–70% depending on content. Photos with gradients compress more than flat-colour graphics.
Will compression make my image blurry?
At 80%+ quality, the difference is invisible to the human eye. Only very low quality settings produce visible artefacts.
Can I compress a video without re-encoding?
Re-encoding is required to reduce video file size. We use H.264 and H.265 codecs at optimised bitrates.
Is there a file size limit for compression?
No enforced limit. Large video files may take a few minutes but will complete successfully.
Does compressing audio reduce quality?
At 192 kbps MP3 or higher, the quality difference from uncompressed audio is inaudible on standard speakers and headphones.
