Mumbai: Sony SAB’s Tenali Rama makes a grand return on Sony SAB. Set in the historical kingdom of Vijayanagar, the story unfolds as Tenali (Krishna Bharadwaj) faces a kingdom that now sees him as a fallen hero. Despite this, Tenali is determined to rise again, expose the conspiracy threatening the region, and restore justice.
In recent episodes, Tenali, an aimless and playful person enjoys his time with children in his village, showing no interest to return to Vijayanagar. His reluctance arises from three promises he made to King Krishnadevaraya (Aditya Redij): first he would not sleep on the kingdom’s land, second, he would not show his face to the King, and third he would never return to Vijayanagar alive. Trying to convince him to return to Vijayanagar, his wife Sharda (Priyamvada Kant) and mother Amma (Nimisha Vakhariya) seek the intervention of Kali Maa (Barkha Bisht). Responding to their call, Kali Maa appears and in a dramatic moment, awakens Tenali’s alter ego, Bandhu, revealing the looming threat to Vijayanagar and urging him to return to the kingdom.
Will Kali Maa be able to convince Tenali Rama to return to Vijayanagar and protect the kingdom from the impending destruction?
Krishna Bharadwaj, playing the role of Tenali Rama in Tenali Rama said, “Tenali Rama has always been known for his wit and humor, and this time his journey promises more of this along with a larger purpose of saving his land from an impending threat. Viewers will witness his internal conflict—torn between past promises and a pressing sense of duty and his transformation from being an aimless person to following his purpose. I am thrilled for the audience to witness how Kali Maa’s intervention and Tenali’s inner conflict will pave the way for an epic comeback.”
