Janhvi Kapoor is making her first appearance at the Cannes Film Festival 2025 for the premiere of Homebound, directed by Neeraj Ghaywan. The film is set to be screened in the prestigious Un Certain Regard section on May 21. Kapoor stars alongside Ishaan Khatter, reuniting the duo from their previous hit Dhadak. The cast also includes Vishal Jethwa in a key role.

Homebound tells the story of two childhood friends from a village in North India who aspire to join the police force in search of dignity and respect. As they move closer to their dreams, their friendship is challenged by mounting social and personal pressures. The project has garnered significant attention, with notable producers like Karan Johar and Adar Poonawalla on board, and internationally acclaimed filmmaker Martin Scorsese serving as an executive producer, lending the film added prestige.
