Fujitsu Unveils AI Avatars with RAG-Based Presentation and Q&A Capabilities in PowerPoint
At a tech showcase in Kawasaki, Fujitsu introduced cutting-edge AI avatars capable of autonomously delivering presentations and engaging in real-time Q&A sessions within Microsoft PowerPoint. What Was Announced?
Fujitsu’s AI avatars are intelligent virtual agents that can:
- Deliver full PowerPoint presentations, complete with voice, gestures, and slide transitions.
- Answer real-time audience questions, pulling from an embedded knowledge base via RAG.
- Support multilingual delivery, making them ideal for global conferences and enterprise training.
These avatars are designed to work within PowerPoint itself, eliminating the need for external software or plugins. The RAG framework ensures that answers are both accurate and contextually relevant, even for complex or technical queries.

Why This Is a Big Deal
RAG-based systems combine language generation with search and retrieval, making them far more reliable than standalone LLMs when delivering fact-driven answers. Embedding this tech in office tools like PowerPoint means:
- Corporate training can be automated and localized.
- Lectures can be delivered without a live presenter.
- Knowledge management becomes interactive and scalable.
By marrying AI communication skills with enterprise tools, Fujitsu is positioning itself at the forefront of AI for productivity.
Future Implications
Fujitsu’s announcement suggests a shift in how businesses might handle internal presentations, product demos, and customer training. The avatars may soon integrate with Microsoft 365 Copilot or Teams, pushing the envelope on enterprise AI.
With Japan heavily investing in AI safety and industrial automation, this move also fits national trends toward human-AI collaboration in professional environments.
